Sparkring is working with ICT to develop a birdview computer vision system on automobile. We already finish a prototype and the following is the result of the prototype. There are four wide-angle cameras installed in the front, the rear, the left side and the right side of the automobile. We capture the video signals from these four cameras and compose of a bridview video for the driver, so the driver will not miss anything around the vechicle. It will significantly reduce the risk of damaging the cars or hurting people.
The algorithm we developed has been optimized. When we use a TI DM642 system to compose the video. It will take only less than 20% of the computation power (about 100MHz performance) and still get 30 fps real time performance. It enables us to have a low cost solution. Since we only use 4 cameras for this system. The cost of the CMOS/CCD is also reduced.
If you need further information, please do not hestitate to contact with us.
